Staff Spirituality

At St Agnes' Primary School, we believe the spiritual growth of our staff is an important part of Catholic education, as staff lead the spiritual growth of students. As a Catholic school, we support our teachers and support staff to deepen their faith and connection with God.

All school staff are encouraged to develop their faith and understanding. They are provided with opportunities such as:

  • Annual Staff Spirituality Days, under the guidance of Bishop Gregory Homeming
  • School prayer and reflections
  • Spirituality retreats
  • Staff immersion experiences.

Through prayer, purpose and passion, staff are supported in their calling to enable each student to achieve the ‘fullness of life’ (John 10:10).

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge that our school resides on the Lands of the Birpai Nation.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians who have walked and cared for this land for thousands of years and their descendants who maintain these spiritual connections and traditions.

We pay our respect to Elders past, present and future leaders.

We reflect on the millions of footprints that travelled the Dreaming pathways and continue to walk this land today. The Land we are on now, the land we live, work, breathe, eat and sleep: always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.

We walk alongside the custodians of this beautiful country, Australia, as we seek Voice, Treaty and Truth.
