PRAYER FOCUS

Prayer.jpg

In Sunday's Gospel we hear about two women who were expecting babies. They were both in unusual circumstances, one young and unmarried and the other seemed too old to have a child. However, “nothing will be impossible for God’ (Luke 1:37).

LEADERSHIP REPORT - Ginaya Yarnold, Donna Sprague and Kate de Bressac

Dear Parents and Carers

Christmas.jpg
Christmas Time is a season of joy in God’s presence among us. There are many unique cultural and family traditions across the world that continue the celebration of Christ’s birth. Celebrating with family and friends helps us realise that Christ came to bless our lives. Keeping the Christmas tree lit and celebrating with feasts remind us of the promises we made at Baptism to keep the light of Christ alive in our hearts and in our world.

It has been another difficult year. We were all hoping this time last year that 2021 would be an improvement on 2020 in terms of restrictions, but this was not to be the case. Since this year’s lockdown ended, we have not been able to meet as a whole school with all students in the one area. One of our greatest joys is seeing all of our St Agnes’ community joining together. Hopefully we will be able to do this from the start of 2022 and have a more visible and real sense of community and spirit. Thank you to all members of our families for your ongoing support.

We wish all of our students and their families a very happy and holy Christmas and a relaxing holiday break. May the love of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, surround you all the times of your life. Merry Christmas and best wishes for the new year.

Graduation.jpg
It is with mixed emotions we farewell our Year Six Leaders of 2021. Throughout the past seven years each of these young men and women have contributed to the St Agnes’ School community in many ways. We hope that we have prepared them well for Secondary School and they will all reach their full potential. Over the last few years we have focused on the principles of being respectful, responsible, resilient and resolute. These are attributes that will stand them in good stead for the next phase of their schooling. We would like to thank each of them for the great life and leadership they have provided to the St Agnes’ community this year. They are a talented and compassionate group of young people with a bright future ahead.
