FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS:
St. Agnes’ Primary School is part of the St. Agnes’ Parish of Port Macquarie, the Lismore Diocese and the larger world wide Catholic Church.
We believe that:
- Religious Education should be based on the life of Jesus and witness to gospel values in both our teaching and everyday life.
- Teaching and interaction with children should promote Christ-like behaviour and bear witness to inclusiveness, forgiveness and love.
- Through teaching Religious Education we will foster empathy, compassion and support for all.
- Religious Education encompasses all aspects of the child’s development with a scripture and knowledge-base program integrated across all Key Learning Areas.
- The whole school community is provided with opportunities for spirituality and self-expression through liturgy, celebrations, sacraments, prayers and masses building a strong link between the school, parish and wider Catholic community.
